What is a Pocket Letter and How to Make your 1st one!

Hi Beauty~

What?! You don't know what a Pocket Letter is?  Well, then grab some coffee (or wine) and let me tell ya all about it! Basically a Pocket Letter's are a newer way to create and make pen pals.  it is sent through the Postal Serval aka Snail Mail.  Pocket Letters are a fun way to send letters and little goodies in a compartment that fits perfectly in a regular size envelope,  Want to make try your first pocket letter?  Well great, here are a few steps to help you along.

Step 1. Find someone for the PL’s swap (read at the end of this post to find how)
Step 2. Decide together a theme for the PL’s swap
Step 3. Prepare, send your PL and wait for your partner’s one!

It all starts with a 9 pocket trading card protector (AKA Baseball Card Protector Sheets). You then decorate each pocket and fill it with little goodies.  Many like to decorate each pocket with ATC (Artist Trading Card) and add some little gifts. These gifts range from stickers, washi tape samples, clear stamps, tea and a letter or a note to introduce yourself to your new pal (you may continue to swap and build a friendship, if you hit it off).  Here is my latest Pocket Letter.

And here is an up close look at each pocket.

This one is my favorite

Isn't she just Beautiful?

Shameless promotion in the back!

Want to see me make it?  Well, you are in luck.  I recorded it for you.  Check out my video below, but first get some more coffee (or wine).

Well, how was that?  Get some more coffee (or wine)...lol

Once you have finish, you can fold it, decorate as a gift and send in a standard 10 size envelope (although, most use large envelopes because the decorations and goodies can get a bit bulky) Especially if you swap with me...lol.

Janette Lane is the person who came up with this idea and us crafters jump at the opportunity to share our crafts with other crafters and artists, who we know would appreciate it.   You can find pocket letter pen pals aka swappers in various ways: You can check out Janette's website PocketLetterPals.com or Facebook groups are very popular.

Have you ever swap a PL? Do you already know this world? Tell me about your experience on it in comments below!
